Rascal Flatts Unstoppable

Posted on: 5 Comments

Spencer and I recently heard about a design contest for a Country Music Band name Rascal Flatts.  The contest was to design their next album cover with the title “Unstoppable.”  So we decided to try our skills at the contest.  We came up with this design.

The contest is being run through the People Choice Award Web-site, and when we checked today the four finalist were finally announced.  They stink!  The one with the four colors and the worst font in the world “papyrus” should have never made it into the finalist, ours is a million times better than that one for sure if not a few of the other ones.  So although you cannot go and vote for our album, here is the link to see the four finalist that the “panel of judges” decided were the best submissions.  Click Here.

Looking Forward To The Main Event

Tomorrow is Bethel’s annual Main Event.  Our youth staff has been preparing for this for nearly a month.  Main Event has always been a activity where the spiritual tone for the year is set, and life-altering decisions are made.  We have fun watching the game but right in the middle we take about an hour and have our service.  Matt for the first time has not planned the entire service, which with as much responsibilities he has this year it’s not a surprise. However Trey, Spencer, Luis, Eric, and I have jumped right in at assisted Matt, thus allowing him to focus on the message that he is going to bring to us.  So if you happen to read this post before the end of the game, pray that everything would go well and God would work in the lives of the youth who come.

hold nothing back

Psalm 24

Posted on: 3 Comments

I read this Psalm this morning and really enjoyed the passage.  Read through it and let me know what you get out of it.

1. The earth is the LORD’S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.  2. For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.  3. Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place?  4. He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.  5. He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.  6. This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.  7. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.  8. Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.  9. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.  10Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.
