Looking Forward To The Main Event
Tomorrow is Bethel's annual Main Event. Our youth staff has been preparing for this for nearly a month. Main Event has always been a activity where the spiritual tone for the year is set, and life-altering decisions are made. We have fun watching the game but right in the middle we take about an hour and have our service. Matt for the first time has not planned the entire service, which with as much responsibilities he has this year it's not a surprise. However Trey, Spencer, Luis, Eric, and I have jumped right in at assisted Matt, thus allowing him to focus on the message that he is going to bring to us. So if you happen to read this post before the end of the game, pray that everything would go well and God would work in the lives of the youth who come.

satisfied with failure?
when was the last time you settled for something that was not best. or even for something that was wrong. you know you want to do what’s right but instead you are satisfied with failure.
in high school i play on several teams that were not very good, few wins many losses. we knew we weren't very good; and some games it seemed like we didn't care that we lost. we were satisfied with failure.
in our spiritual life we know what’s right to do, we know what we are supposed to do. so many times however we choose not to do what’s right. we think that thought, says those words, go to the that place, whatever it is; we just don't care at the time, we become satisfied with failure.
what’s keeping you back?
are you settling for second best, or worse?
are you satisfied with failure?
God wants so much more than that for us. that’s why he says greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. let's stop relying on ourselves and our own strength. we need to trust in God's strength and power to overcome our faults and sins.
Spring Break
well this week is spring break. i have tomorrow of which we will be going to disneyland with my parents who are down here visiting for the week. it will definitely be a nice break from school and work. i'll have some pictures in up in a few days. only 36 more days until i graduate and 81 days until i get married i'll have more news soon
New Site Function
so i'm pretty sure you immediately will notice that the picture at the top of the page is different. every time you go from page to page or refresh the page you are on you will see a random pictures some cooler than others. there are about a dozen in all so take some time and refresh the pages or move between links on the site and check out all twelve, then let me know which one is you favorite. i'm kinda partial to the macbook.
Couple’s Conference
Friday night and Saturday morning of last week was a couple's conference that Renae and I attended. The conference was directed toward married couples, however it was open to soon-to-be married couples, as well. The conference was being hosted and ran by Renae's church, Lighthouse Baptist Church. It was really encouraging and challenging to myself. In just a little under 4 months Renae and I will be getting married. I think this conference and the pre-marital counseling that we will be starting today will be a useful tool as we start our new lives together. One of the sessions I had was on the leadership role of the husband, and how he is to be the spiritual leader of the home, and enable the wife and the rest of the family to follow his leadership. Thank you to all the people how help put the conference together.
An Update on Life
Well, Things are going better with Renae's feet, she has a post on her blog www.unlinkedmedia.com/wedding that talks about her latest update, so if you want to be filled in, that would be the place to go. I'm trying to post a little more often to keep all of you faithful readers up-to-date with things going on in my life.
Renae and I have recently purchased and received our wedding invitations and last night started to assemble them. Renae has been looking for a bakery to do the cake, and a florist to do the flowers.
I'm taking some 15 hours of classes this semester at Pacific Baptist College. School's been going good, I'm enjoying my classes looking forward to graduating in about 78 days. My classes are fairly practical and I'm able to implement these each week in my ministries at Bethel.
I'm working 35 hours a week for Enterprise, I really enjoy my job, and have been working there for two years. My job requires me to drive a lot. I'll drive cars to the car wash, drive to other branches to pick-up cars, and other things like that. I end up being on the road probably 60 to 75 percent of my work day.
Thanks for visiting the site, I would like it if all of you readers would comment on my posts. It's nice to who has read my posts.

One Week Down, What a Week!
Well, Monday I started back up my final semester at Pacific Baptist College. While I was at work Monday evening I got a phone call from Renae, she had her wallet and laptop stolen from her while she was at work. I took off from work to go be with her, she was pretty distraught. The Police have not found anything yet. Early Wednesday morning I woke up with something unusual inside my mouth. It was a piece of my tooth, well I guess they belong in my mouth, but not broken. My filling from some 12 years ago fell out, (the dentist was surprised that it lasted that long.) Fortunately I did not have class on Wednesday so I spent the morning in the dentist office. Other than those things it was a really good week. All in all we can see God working in our lives and preparing us for our future ministry.
