Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich
For as long as I can remember I can not stand eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Yes that is right I utterly dislike the classic PB&J. All of my family including Renae can attest to this. Growing up, for lunch at school I would just have a jelly sandwhich, until after a few years of that I could not eat it that anymore becuase it was just to bland. So I back away from jelly all together. Ham and cheese seemed to suit me much better as long as there was no mayo or mustard on it, but that's a different story since we are talking about PB&J. I honestly could not remeber that last time I had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, until tonight when I got a suddent urge to eat a PB&J sandwich. I have no idea what brought it on. Renae was out hanging out with friends so there was not a need to cook a big meal, I thought about doing grilled cheese but I used the last of the cheese yesterday. Then the urge hit, "I must have PB&J." So I pull out our Peanut Butter (chunky) and Jelly (Strawberry) and made a sandwich. Honestly it was not that bad, slightly bland which I probably why I disliked it as a kid. Well Renae just came home and she brought some food back for me, awsome. I Love You, honey.
Oh on a side note my little sister, Ruth, decdied to move away from here wordpress.com site and go self-hosted. She is still running a wordpress installation. Her new web address is http://thehonestruth.com Yes, it's a play on word the honest truth, the honest ruth, pretty clever. Renae's cousin Jeremy thought of it. Make sure you go visited her site and give her some comment love.

I must also proclaim my love for PB&J (strawberry, please)! I like to kick it up a notch with marshmallow cream or nutella. Or both.

I love PB&J! I’m with Jay about the strawberry jam is the best – of course, blackberry is pretty good too! Have any of the PB&J lovers had it grilled? It gets a little soggy bc of all the moisture, but the way the peanut butter melts….YUM!!!! I also like to make a PB&J toast sandwich.

Don’t even get my brother started on how many different ways he’s had it.

Yes, a grilled a PB&J sammy is awesome. There’s a place in the Mall of America called P.B. Loco (it’s all about all kinds of varieties of PB&J sammies; real good and a lot of fun!). They grill it there for you, if you like. I had a grilled sammy with Belgian Chocolate Peanut Butter and vanilla cream cheese. Yes, it was incredible! They serve it with a side of animal crackers.

I’m not a fan of peanut butter and jelly either. Not a real big sandwich fan at all, but I do like egg salad or steak sandwiches….also BLTs!!
– American style BLTs that is! Yum!

I think I have eaten one PB&J since I got married due to the fact that James doesn’t like them! I like them grilled or toasted! I was shocked when I walked in and James told me that he had eaten a PB&J. I laughed! It was so random! We have had PB&J in the house for a while but neither of us had eaten very much and then all of a sudden James is eating a sandwich! Crazy! I love you James!

Here is why we have peanut butter and jelly in the house. peanut butter is great in cookies, whether you are making chocolate chip or just plain peanut butter cookies. the jelly has been used on toast with cream cheese, so that is why they were both on hand for my sudden craving.

I eat them every so often. I also toast the bread. but unlike most people I prefer it with grape jelly.

I ate a PB&J this week! It is always a grand event when I eat them because of the lack of bread in my life. I never really cared for them while I was growing up either… there are many reasons. 1) don’t shoot me… but I prefer creamy over chunky. 2) We always had grape jelly because SOMEBODY loved grape with their PB&J… I like strawberry! 3) I don’t know. I went for either for a PB or a J … rarely combined.
